Senior UC4 / Automic Automation Specialist || 5 - 7 years || Remote

Role Overview 

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior UC4 / Automic Automation Specialist with 5 to 7 years of experience to join our infrastructure and application support team.
 In this role, you will be the go-to expert for our enterprise scheduling environment, responsible for in-depth UC4 administration, complex scripting, and collaborating closely with application teams to solve batch issues. A strong foundation in database concepts and the ability to understand SSIS packages are critical, as many of our workflows interface directly with data pipelines. 

Responsibilities 

Manage and optimize the UC4/Automic Automation environment, including Utilities, Engines, Agents, User Management, client copies, and version upgrades/patches.
 Monitor system performance, perform health checks, and ensure the scheduling engine's high availability. 
Design and maintain complex UC4 objects such as Jobs, Workflows, Schedules, PromptSets, Variables, and Sync objects. 
Write advanced UC4 scripting to handle dynamic execution, error handling, and complex conditional logic. 
Collaborate with application teams to analyze batch processing requirements, consult on best practices, and design efficient end-to-end automation workflows.
 Investigate and resolve complex job failures and script errors in production and non-production environments, providing root-cause analysis (RCA) for critical incidents. 
Review and understand SSIS packages to seamlessly integrate them and map dependencies within UC4 workflows. 
Interact with databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.) by writing/optimizing SQL queries and understanding database schemas. 

Requirements & Skills 

4–7 years of dedicated experience in IT automation, focusing primarily on UC4 / Automic Workload Automation and in-depth knowledge of its architecture. 
Advanced proficiency in UC4 Scripting language and core administration utilities. 
Ability to read and understand SSIS packages to effectively manage data pipeline dependencies. 
Solid understanding of DB concepts, including writing SQL queries and understanding stored procedures. 
Strong familiarity with OS environments, specifically Windows (including basic shell scripting). 
Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to work directly with application developers, business analysts, and infrastructure teams under tight timelines. 
Preferred: Experience with Automic Web Interface (AWI) customization, Analytics modules, REST API integration, or cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

Job Description (CPQ Architect) -
              1) Design and architect scalable Salesforce CPQ solutions aligned with business requirements.
                             Translate complex sales processes into robust CPQ configurations and workflows.

                             Ensure compliance with architectural best practices, security policies, and platform governance.

                             Conduct solution workshops, demos, and training for stakeholders and end-users.
              4) Integrations & Data
                             Architect and oversee integrations between CPQ and downstream systems (ERP, billing, order mgmt.,product catalog).
                             Ensure high-quality data migration, data consistency, and synchronization across systems.
              5) Governance & Quality
                             Define coding standards, configuration best practices, and documentation guidelines.
                             Perform design reviews, code reviews, and QA validation of CPQ features.
                             Maintain a roadmap for CPQ enhancements, scalability improvements, and technical debt reduction.
